Our Story

StoryThe Scarpinato Family started in the restaurant industry in 1973 when owner Joe Scarpinato’s parents, Joseph & Dolly, opened their first restaurant. By 13, Joe’s career as a chef had begun: cooking in his parent’s garage for the restaurant. “Since I was young, cooking has always been a labor of love for me,” Joe says.

Story2Over four decades later, the Scarpinato legacy is continued in Turnersville, NJ by three generations of Scarpinato restaurateurs at Scarpinato’s Cucina & Catering.

Our menu is inspired by authentic Scarpinato recipes passed down from generation to generation. We serve large portions of authentic Italian dishes made from fresh ingredients, including:

When asked about his plans for the future, Joe had this to say: “This is how I started my career and this is how I’ll end it – in a small restaurant with my family.”
